About the Team
- You will join a team at the intersection of many business units, external service providers, and internal core systems.
- In this team, you will develop our backend payment system to integrate external service providers.
- We are excited about the possibilities of changing how payments and business banking are made. With our unique proprietary model, we are able to derive innovative unit economics which no other competitors can replicate.
- Our multi-national team consists of engineers from Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

What you'll do
- Integrate new payment methods and work with different service providers to ensure reliability and quality.
- Being responsible for the overall availability and reliability of the system, ensuring that there is a robust monitoring system in place.
- Providing feedback on architecture and approach and helping teams make data-driven decisions.
- Code implementation and code reviews.
- Designing systems in a microservices architecture.
- Take part in backlog grooming and sprint planning.
- Autonomy in deriving impact – we believe people and teams are most empowered when they can act autonomously and take the initiative. You'll work with your team to create a vision of how to launch the product ahead of our competitors.
What we're looking for in you
- 3+ years of relevant backend engineering experience, familiar with languages and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or Golang.
- Expertise in SQL and database design.
- Deep Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Good understanding of CI/CD concepts.
- Proficient user of Git.
- Evidence of understanding system design and building a new system from scratch.
- Evidence of ability to maintain and scale a system.
- Interested in being groomed for a leadership role in the team.
- Good written and spoken English.
Nice to haves
- Relevant experience in Payments, Retail, or Consumer Financial Services.
- Interested in financial systems, security, and financial crime.
- Experience in developing a large legacy production codebase.
- Experience in DevOps and monitoring services.
